Milan design duo Carnovsky had nice work with the illustration last summer. The book, which came together with Quarto Group, Wide Eyed and author Rachel Williams, approached animals and their different living environments from three perspectives: red, green and blue.

When viewed through three different lenses (RBG), different drawings emerge.

For example, red reveals an illustration of the skull of a human head, while if we look through a green lens it also reveals muscle and vascular features, even though everything on the page is the same.

Carnovsky's RGB design debuted at Milan Design Week in 2010, but has since been exhibited in La Giungla, a preliminary to the Colore exhibition at MUBA in Milan.

Since then, we've seen it frequently in concrete materials and wallpapers, such as scarves and smartphone cases. However, it is very impressive that it was designed so creatively in a book and I think it appeals to people of all ages.
